It’s Never Too Late To Switch Careers

Have brows always been a secret passion of yours? Have you always wondered 'what if I had become a brow stylist'? It's never too late to have a new start as a Brow Stylist. A career switch is one of life's many possibilities. We have compiled a list of people who have made a career switch and have become successful after their 30th.

Huda Kattan

When Huda was 29 years old she moved with her husband to Dubai but soon after the 2008 crisis she lost her job. Short after she got a new job in PR, but she realized quickly that this was not her passion. Her sister advised her to focus on her love for make-up. She got her certificate to be a make-up artist and started working on her craft at Revlon. She started Huda Beauty the blog and grew a following through making make-up tutorials and sharing tips about make-up. Even though her audience grew she didn't see herself selling products. With a little push of her sisters she started her company. She started in 2013 with selling fake eyelashes and fast forward today she is selling 140 products with a yearly revenue of $250 million.

Kathryn Joosten

Kathryn Joosten was an American actress and two-time winner of the Primetime Emmy Awards. She got her first role when she was 53 and continued her acting career in Hollywood until she passed away at the age of 72. She took a job in a factory and studied to later become an English teacher at a primary school. She was 30 years old when she divorced her husband, stopped her teaching career and started creating clothes which her new partner Malcom McLaren designed.

Westwood opened four shops in London and eventually expanded throughout the world. Her design featured in the Sex in the City.

Martha Stewart

Martha is a great example of multiple career switches and successes after the age 30.

She has written a number of bestselling books, is a retail business woman, writer and a television personality.

Martha started her career as a stockbroker at age of 26 which has nothing to do with what she is doing right now. In her late thirties Marta started a catering business. She worked for a gourmet food store but after disagreement with the owners she opened her own store. Eventually Stewart turned her love of gourmet cooking and creative presentation into what is now Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
